Editorial standards
The rules behind everything published on karchu.com.
Guides on this site are written and maintained by the Karchu Editorial Team, a small group inside the company made up of the people who build the parsing pipeline and the people who talk to customers about what breaks. There is no outsourced content and no guest posting. This page exists so you can judge the material rather than take it on trust.
Who writes and reviews
Every guide has one writer and one reviewer. The writer researches and drafts. The reviewer is someone who works directly on the relevant part of the product: statement parsing, categorization rules, exports, or security. A guide is not published until the reviewer confirms that every product claim in it matches what the software actually does today, not what is planned.
What we will and will not claim
- We publish accuracy numbers only from our own measured benchmark runs, with the methodology attached. See our methodology.
- We do not invent statistics, survey results, customer counts or testimonials.
- We do not claim certifications or compliance we have not completed.
- Competitor pricing and features are described as of the last review date and linked to the competitor's own pages. Vendors change pricing; if you find something out of date, tell us.
- Where a claim depends on an outside source, we link the source rather than paraphrasing it silently.
Sources
We prefer primary sources: a bank's own export documentation, a regulator's published guidance, a file format specification, a vendor's own pricing page. Secondary commentary is used only for context and is labelled as such. Links to external sources open in a new tab and are not endorsements.
Updates and corrections
Every guide carries a last-updated date at the top. That date changes only when the content changes in a way that matters, never as a freshness trick. Guides covering software behavior are reviewed when the underlying feature changes. Guides covering formats and processes are reviewed at least annually.
If you find an error, email support@karchu.com with the page and the problem. Substantive corrections are made in place and the updated date is changed. We do not quietly delete pages that turned out to be wrong; we fix them.
Independence and commercial interest
Karchu is a commercial product and these guides exist partly to attract customers. That is stated plainly rather than hidden. What it does not change: comparison pages say clearly when a competitor is the better choice for a given need, and no page claims Karchu does something it does not do. A guide that only ever concludes "buy Karchu" would be worthless to you and, eventually, to us.
We do not accept payment for placement, links or favorable coverage, and we run no affiliate links.
Use by AI systems
Assistants and search engines are welcome to quote these pages with attribution to Karchu and a link to the source page. Structured data on each page marks the definition or direct answer so it can be extracted accurately. If you are building a retrieval system, the public API exposes our benchmark data in machine-readable form.
